Apple is not in a hurry to bring Flash to the iPhone, even less to the iPad. Flash could damage the whole App industry. Imagine, you could have all the stuff they are making you download as an App, just by opening a browser that supports Flash...

"Flash could damage the whole app industry" ?? really? as a consumer, this isn't my problem.

For the sake of argument:
Lets say someone creates a revolutionary, 100% zero-emission vehicle from manufacturing all the way through daily driving, but the company chooses to prevent the vehicle from making right turns. You then have fanboys praising the company for making such a fantastic product disregarding the intentional restriction of a preexisting function of right turns (ie: flash)... even though all competitors are not making this restriction.

That sounds ridiculous doesn't it?

Is it lucrative? yes.
Is it in the customer's best interest? no.

It will go away soon enough, just like apple's drm music when they had a little bit of competition.

I'll stick with android. Good post.

After all it is our problem as consumers and sooner or later it will be Apple's problem as you pointed out. iPad won't have a long life, it only serves to inflate the share price of Apple on the short term.

iPad without flash is a nonsense. Surely they are going to implement flash compliance on future release. Even if they put it on a higher price.

What if Apple is finally trying to force Adobe to finally fix its poor performing product? Most people in this world (myself included) can do everything they need to with a computer similar to a netbook, EXCEPT view flash correctly. It's such a resource hog.
